MSPA Membership Criteria

  1. Two years existence as a mystery shopping provider company or
  2. The company has been conducting Mystery Shopping for I year, and agrees to attend the MSPA-AP conference in Bejin in latter 2006 or
  3. The company has been conducting Mystery Shopping for at least 6 months and
  4. Pays 2 years Annual Subscription at the time of joining (The two years membership will cost US$700.00 and
  5. Provide two client references and
  6. Attends the MSPA-AP Conference in their first year of membership (a deposit will be required).

Proof of business existence maybe requested (ie. articles of incorporation, insurance records, or business license).

In addition to these requirements, all members must agree to:

  1. Accord respect to all other members of the association.
  2. Commit, in principle, to the purposes of the association.
  3. Conduct themselves according to industry procedures and regulations set forth and agreed to by the MSPA's members. Recognize that image is of prime importance and uphold the highest standards of their business associations.

Each member company will be asked to sign an ethics and standards agreement each year. This ethics and standards agreement will be developed by the Professional Ethics and Standards Committee.

The definition of a mystery shopping provider as developed by the Board, is as follows:

"A company that uses anonymous resources to perform evaluations of services and operations for third party clients."

Schedule of fees

Membership Dues, Regular Member (annual dues) US$350.00
Membership Dues, Associate / Vendor Member (annual dues) US$450.00

Existing MSPA members wishing to join the Asia Pacific Chapter are most welcome, the additional fee is US$250.00 for Regular or Associate Members.

The Annual Year for membership is the January to December period.

Company Email and www Hyperlinks from MSPA - AP is available for US $100.00.

Please note that the above fees have been set at a level to encourage new members and have been set until December 2006.

Regular Members are mystery shopping provider companies that operate within the US and internationally.

Additional Member to a Regular Member Membership is an additional employee of the Regular member company wishing to receive membership mailings, information and have a listing in the Resource Guide during the membership period of the Regular Membership.

Associate Members (vendors who sell products or services to MSPA Mystery Shopping Company members).

Charter Members are mystery shopping provider companies that have been accepted for Charter membership prior to October 4, 1998.

This application for membership into The Mystery Shopping Provider's Association (MSPA) is an agreement between the applicant and the MSPA that the applicant will adhere to the professional ethics and standards set forth by the association.
